Atari 2600 H*R RPG!
|
Robin H. and Jim K. |
 | From the site, " Atari 2600 meets Homestar Runner crossed with a role playing game. This will be the first in-depth RPG on the Atari 2600, and will be comparable to early computer based RPGs. But the absurd scenarios and dumb fairy-tale characters will be replaced with true-to-life stories and much more believable characters from the popular Homestar Runner crew. Mike and Matt Chapman (creators of Homestar Runner) will be contributing story, graphics, and creative ideas to the game."

Possible WCIII Trogdor Reference
|
Michael M. |
WarCraft III has a character that appears briefly in the game called, "Trogdar" I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not.. The game must have been written well before Trogdor came around. Can anyone confirm this? Fred Y. wrote in with a info that "Trogdar" gets "burninated" right after you see him.. also his info said that other guards have more common names like Seth, Marcus, etc.

John B. |
Cool pics of the Brothers and some other people you might know! Eric, "Earlier this Spring I went down to Atlanta to visit some friends. Having just consumed copious amounts of delicious fried and charred animal flesh for lunch, Mike, Matt, Jesse and I were filled with such testosterone that there was only one solution: a Sunday afternoon pigskin showdown in the park." Look very carefully in the background!

8-Bit Theater - Strong Bad and The Cheat Camio
|
Cosmo R., Jessica B |
 | Those boys at 8-bit theater have another H*R camio.. this time it's Strong Bad and The Cheat. The camios are all the way at the end of their funny episode. I don't like posting about anyone ripping off H*R, but these seems pretty well placed. Either way, 8-bit Theater is pretty funny, check them out.

|
Chief S. |
Entertainment Weekly has listed H*R.com in the Weekly IT list as the "IT Web Cartoonists" on page 103 of the new issue (June 2003?). I'd post a link but the EW site is AOL/pay only, and I think that is lame. :) Thanks also to Sandra who sent in a blurb for me to read!

Strong Bad, H*R "Half Life" mod
|
Pradeep "Deep" N. |
| FreakingNeo over at moddb.com is in the works of making a Half Life mod. It looks pretty funny! If you play Half Life it might be something to watch for. I've seen the progress meter move from 10% to 30%, so I think they are still working on it!

Strong Bad at Concert
|
Jim K. |
Strong Bad appeared at a big event called "Field Day" at Giants Stadium. Radiohead, the Beastie Boys, and other big name bands of that sort played, but the coolest thing was they showed Strong Bad emails over the JumboTron in between acts. Also they showed "To the Limit!" and it apparently had a special new introduction in which Strong Bad complains that he wasn't allowed on stage even though he had the #1 Hit of the Summer two summers in a row. Can anyone else confirm this? Have pictures!?!?! PLEASE! Steve N. writes, "hey there, I too was at Field day Fest at Giants stadium. This is true that Strong Bad was the between set entertainment. the date was on June 7th if that matters. steve" Thanks Steve!! Anyone get pictures!?!?
