"An excellent minigame!" -- gest. "Instantly appealing, the frame rate is impressive. Far better than most Spectrum driving games." -- Jonathan. "I know, this is my game, but I like it!" -- pieffe. "Great! I like this! Great graphic, very very good racing game! " -- maggio. "A 4k masterpiece" -- emg. "Excellent. Well done." -- Executioner. "Marvellous masterpiece, best speccy game in the compo. Superb and ultra-smooth graphics (even the tyres are animated!), fitting SFX, and excellent playabillity: My Tip for the Top!" -- manuel_rotschkar. "A very professional feel, and a good game overall. However, the perspective effect is really awkward, and I think more should have been invested in gameplay rather than graphics." -- GOC. "Good, scrolling graphics and controls, very polished, sound is a bit dull. I miss some variations, e.g. day/night/fog, slippery surface... Anyway, Nomen est Omen! :-)" -- tjentzsch. "Shame about the funny perspective, but easily the most fun of the 4k games." -- rus. "Good graphics and sound effects, and you really get a sense of speed as you race around the track. This game is great fun!" -- nich. "Moving background! It likes the Super Hang On! Super for 4k!" -- Povi.

The graphics and backgrounds are gorgeous, the levels are well designed, and the difficulty level is perfect." -- nich. "A very good concept that was very well executed. "This is what MiniGames are all about. Well done, guys. My only complaint would be that the controls could be more forgiving (e.g. control during jumps). Nice tune, Luca!" -- Csabo. "Good effort; graphics and motion/action is kinda clunky/primitive (e.g. need to add acceleration)." -- Wyndex. "Excellent scrolling platformer, feels slightly too fast for me but cries out to be developed further." -- Jonathan. "a right mix of music, graphics, and playing" -- ice00. "Good music and graphics, collision detection and jump speed a bit iffy." -- Executioner. "Nice graphics and music, but *much* too short. Controls average" -- tjentzsch. "A cute platform game which is quite faithful to The Great Giana Sisters. The music is quite good, but it's a shame that there are only two levels." -- nich. "Good graphics, music and gameplay. Should have had more than just two levels, though." -- gest. "nice graphics and music, well optimized, problem with the player movements." -- newcoleco. "Good music, nice attempt. But very bad handling" -- pieffe. "very very nice platform, GREAT graphics, only...to much fast" -- maggio. "Not bad, but the jump mechanics could use some tweaking." -- Aaron. "heehee looks familar...nice music, ok presentation, but not being able to move left or right after jump started was super frustrating" -- kirkjerk. "Good game - smooth moving, and a nice attempt. Recommended" -- love_policeman. "Impressive work with excellent music! Should have more than 2 levels, though..." -- manuel_rotschkar. "Nice, but only two short and easy levels was a bit disappointing." -- rus. "Great scroll" -- artaburu. "Fun. Addictive. Very good minigame." -- cador.

"I enjoyed playing this game." -- gest. "Very good manic miner clone, with music" -- pieffe. "Nice, a Manic Miner in 4K." -- maggio. Nice animated GFX, yet quirky controls and horribly annoying music." -- manuel_rotschkar. "Another masterpiece.... Just make sure you don't run into Matthew Smith by any chance ;-)" -- GOC.

The AI is challenging, and very life-like. The difficulty levels work well. Graphics: 6 SoundFx: 5 Gameplay: 8 Longevity: 7 Originality: 7" -- TROGDOR. "A simple but addictive game. "Hate the theme (yuck), but the game's none the worse for it. Bonus mode was a clever addition." -- Jonathan. "Have you ever found yourself caught in love? Love themed games are risky and rare." -- Denial. "good game engine with nice graphics" -- ice00. "Not bad. Some instructions would have been nice." -- Executioner. "Graphics ok, nice music, but too hard (not enough time)" -- tjentzsch. "Once I worked out how to load the game (thanks to the lack of any instructions), I discovered a fairly good puzzle game. The time limit is too tight, though." -- nich. "Not bad" -- pieffe. "Very ambitious game. I can't imagine this one not ending up in the top 5. Congratulations!" -- Csabo. "I won't vote for my own game." -- Jonathan. "I don't like to play this kind of games, as they need too time. But the implementation is good." -- ice00. "Probably a good game, but I don't have time to get into it." -- Executioner. "Sorry, didn't get it (no vote)" -- tjentzsch. "Cramming Civilization into 4K was always going to be difficult, and unfortunately it hasn't worked out. There's too combat involved and it soon becomes cumbersome to play." -- nich. "Incredible! Amazingly complete strategy game at an unbelievable size! I did look and no wonder, it was in assembly. It was initially hard to learn but once you did, I'm still amazed!" -- Anara. "Nice conversion. learning the keys was not easy." -- newcoleco. "Incredible Civ clone, but the user interface is too frustrating (maybe 15 years ago it would have been fine)" -- pieffe. "Excellent - a very ambitious attempt at Civilization with a great degree of success" -- love_policeman. "Uihja, Civilisation in 4K. Somehow impressive, yet I never was a big Civilisation fan in the first place..." -- manuel_rotschkar. "Technically impressive but nowhere near as fun as AP4000 due to the turn-based nature and clunky (you said it :) ) controls..." -- GOC. "Decent in some ways, but going through the units to find the ones you want to move gets very tedious." -- rus. "Magnificient! "Plays well, but could have used better gfx. No score is a turn-off, there's no incentive to reach for higher percents, just clear the levels and that's it." -- Csabo. "Quite addictive, scoring would be nice." -- Jonathan. "I always like this simple game" -- ice00. "Quite good, but not really 4K worth?" -- Executioner. "Minimal graphics and sound, boxing algorithm buggy!" -- tjentzsch. "A wonderfully addictive version of Qix. Who needs fancy graphics and sound effects when you've got gameplay as good as this?" -- nich. "Odd rules cmp. to original, but fun." -- carlsson. "I always loved Qix game, and I think that this particular one is nice to play, even in text mode !" -- Dbug. "Not amazing, but at least original for the compo" -- pieffe. "This Volfied clone is quite interesting. However, the game is a bit too easy - you should try to add some AI to the worm and spark." -- GOC.

"Fitting gfx and sound, high technical skill. The gameplay is okay too, but not great. The game would have had the same impact with hires subs and no sprites on the border, and you could have used that space to do something "extra". Overall a solid entry." -- Csabo. "Good graphics; removed side borders are cool but seem like a lot of effort for little return, and I would have preferred more 'game'." -- Wyndex. "Very simple but not bad at all. Liked the presentation." -- Jonathan. "nice game; maybe some music give better presentation; however here is a nice big presentation screen" -- ice00. "Nice implementation. Pitty the original game is boring." -- Executioner. "Very simple gameplay and graphics, absolutely no variations or extras" -- tjentzsch. "Enjoyable to play at first - the sound effects are particularly good - but it's too easy. Having fewer mines available would make it more challenging." -- nich. "Very good one !" -- Dbug. "IMO, the best C64 game, with the best playability." -- pieffe. "simply but very playable" -- maggio. "Very good - slick presentation, and good gameplay. Why does the mine appear from above the ship though when you fire ?" -- love_policeman. "like the sprites...a little limited gameplay wise." -- kirkjerk. "I'm very thankful for this entry as it proves that the Atari 2600 VCS is superior to a C64 :-p" -- manuel_rotschkar. "A highly polished remake of an arcade classic. It would have been nice if more was added to the gameplay of the original version. The mines are also difficult to see for some emulator users...." -- GOC. "Very good presentation. "Fun for a while. Great retro hand-held feel." -- Executioner. "Ok for a Game&Watch game, but IMO more a 1K candidate" -- tjentzsch. "Another great Game & Watch game to complement last year's 4KKONG. It lacks action at first, but it becomes frantic later on! I like the fire effect on the title screen as well, even it looks rather crude." -- nich. "Inspired by 4KKong ?" -- Dbug. "Well done, I especially liked the large numbers for score." -- Csabo. "I play a lot with this game. good " -- ice00. "Does it really require 4K?" -- Executioner. "Very faithful Spave Invaders game play, graphics blocky but they do the job, minimal sound" -- tjentzsch. "Since this was a remake, I compared it to the original Space Invaders. Using the background graphics for the aliens is an original idea, but I perfer the 9 alien Atari remake. Background graphics are just too boxy. The sound was good, but could have been better (more white noise on player shots, and the bonus ship kill sound was off.) Otherwise, a good invaders clone, and still better than the original Atari 6 alien implementation. Graphics: 7 SoundFx: 6 Gameplay: 6 Longevity: 4 Originality NA" -- TROGDOR. "Great fun, but very difficult, especially in one-player mode, and why are the aliens just coloured blocks?" -- nich. "I don't like to shot, wait for half and hour, and: yes! i can shot again! not for me, but it's good remake. Seven." -- mika. "this looks like a simple invaders game..." -- pieffe. "Pretty good attempt at full Space Invaders game, but lacks a little something. " -- love_policeman. "great overcoming of atari limitations, and cool to see all those invaders, though not so original" -- kirkjerk. "Plays pretty well. I actually like the abstract graphics." -- Aaron. "Ok, they're not looking like Aliens. But try doing it better on a machine with 2(!) sprites! The playability is brilliant. Wonderful attention to detail, arcade perfect." -- manuel_rotschkar. Is there more than 1 level?" -- Executioner. "I want a GAME! And not just an interactive music demo. ;-)" -- tjentzsch. "Nice graphics and music, but it's rather difficult, and the enemy 'planes seem to congregate in the top and bottom sections of the screen." -- nich. "Good music, good graphics." -- Povi. "Sometimes I exploded, but didn't saw why ???" -- Dbug. "Not bad. But still not very playable." -- pieffe. "Very good graphics but unplayable!!!" -- maggio. "Great presentation here. It's a bit repetitive though." -- Aaron. "good music, but too easy to die and not realize it, couldn't get very into it" -- kirkjerk. "Generic shmup with nice music." -- manuel_rotschkar. "Getting there but the "demo:game" ratio is still not satisfactory. Needs more gameplay, and an shields/energy feature so that the game doesn't end that abruptly when you make a mistake." -- GOC. "Is it actually possible to hit the ball?" -- Executioner. "Very original concept (three? games in one!), good AI, simple graphics, some extras are missing" -- tjentzsch. "I did not play this game because that would be a violation of Infogrames copyright. But, if I hypothetically would have played this game, I would have said it was a fun and original game that does a good job of integrating 2 different game styles. The Pterodactyl animation and sound are perfect, and the Poorlords feature is a nice touch. One issue is allowing sharp angles on the ball after a score. That part was frustrating. Graphics: 8 SoundFx: 7 Gameplay: 8 Longevity: 7 Originality: 7" -- TROGDOR. "Too hard in the difficult mode and too easy in the easy mode! "No documentation for this or any of your games? Sure, it's easy enough to figure out the controls, but you could have wrote something. "Many levels, but very minimal graphics" -- tjentzsch. "How can you fit 82 levels into 4K? This is a challenging little puzzle game. "the first game of this type I play on. Good" -- ice00. "Interesting Concept, a bit simple for 4K though." -- Executioner. Decent titlescreen, could use a brief title song. The sound Fx were okay. Gameplay had some originality to it.
